Every athlete needs practice to improve his game. But in order to become a master and exceed all expectations, our players should also play the real game. That is the vision of TPISC. I really enjoyed the experience of the Boot
Camp. Sir created 4 groups for food, Discipline, Entertainment
and Cleanliness. I was named the captain of the Cleanliness
group and also received prize for it.
Morning Yoga, Meditation and Pranayam helped me a lot. It helped me clear my unnecessary thoughts, made me more calm and relaxed. It also helped me focus for the practice session ahead. Shashanksir also explained to us four important points. They were:-(i)Integrity, (ii)Relationship, (iii)Existence and (iv)enrollment. Sir also introduced to us mental cool-down after every session which was a new experience and I will perform it on a regular basis.(As Satishsir says,"Choice is yours.")
Each and every practice session was serious, focused and rigorous. We did fitness before the heavy net session which helped us to test our strength and stamina. It was a challenge for all the fast bowlers to bowl for 1 hour after the fitness session. It helped me realise where I stand at the moment.
The movies that we watched were also related to sports and gave a strong message. It taught me forgiveness, teamwork, hardwork, passion and positive thinking. Everything is possible if you believe in yourself and have strong mindset and willpower. An entertainment program of singing helped everyone to relax.
Overall, I feel that I have learned a lot from this boot camp. I have improved as a cricketer physically, mentally and technically. I feel that I have developed a better action and Rhythm. I would like to Thank Satishsir for this initiative and also Shashanksir, Zakirda and Rajada for their valuable inputs...
The arrangement of this camp was really
good, well planned, well managed. The schedule was really well
managed, practice twice a day, yoga early in the morning,
intense fitness before the session, good cool down session after
I really enjoyed batting twice a day and that too for a long period of time. It helped me improve my pull shot, drives and getting into position early, the percentage of middling the ball increased.
I had never thought I would ever be able to practice after such an intense fitness session, I got to know how much I can push myself. It felt impossible practicing after such an intense fitness session. I learned that till the time you don't try doing it you don't know what you are capable of.
Early morning yoga really helped me, Surya Namaskar released the stiffness in the body, and pranayama helped me in relaxing my mind, clearing all useless thoughts, reducing the stress, visualization helped in concentrating better.
The decision to take away everybody's mobile phones really helped us as we spoke to each other more, got to know each other better, good bonding.
I really enjoyed the games, place, food, stay. Learned a lot of new things from the movies like forgiveness, teamwork, hard work and positive thinking
I was really very excited for this camp. It was
the first time I was going to such a camp. We didn't really have
any idea of what's going to be in the camp. We all went open and
free minded nothing in our heads that this is going or that is
going to be there or anything. It was a very well organized
camp, there was a fixed routine, everything was well planned.
There were 4 groups made namely discipline, cleanliness, food
and entertainment. Everyone in their respective groups did their
job perfectly. We got to learn about yoga, it's benefits,
various types of yoga in which asan is just a part of yoga there
are 9 other different types of yoga in which I learned what is
samadhi (a man can do anything he wants). Then the facilities
were good, Food was nice, bungalows were decent. The indoor
there was incredibly superb - the space, the mat, fast bowlers
had enough space for their run-up. The most important thing we
learned was how to push ourselves, we can push our limits, get
out of our comfort zone, practice with the same intention and
with the same intensity even after training hard or even after
having a 1km run. And thanks to our coaches Satish sir, Shashank
sir, Zakir da and raja da. Thank you so much for your efforts.
Your efforts were more than that of ours. Doing Throwdowns with
sidearm for 1 and a half or two is not an easy thing (thanks to
Zakir da and raja da). Making a proper and clear routine for 5
days with 27 players to handle(thanks to Satish sir and Shashank
It was a great great experience hope so we'll get further more camps like this.
